I was thinking about you today. I have an appointment tomorrow with my Dr. to go over the results for my PCOS tests. (I know that they came back positive because I got a call from the referring Dr. today at work.)
I just wanted to see how you were doing.
Re: **mon.petit.chou**
What kind of testing did they do to confirm it? I had an ultrasound that showed a lot of little follicles/cysts, and then based off of other symptoms she just said yep, that's what you have. I was supposed to have a D&C coming up soon, but after nearly 3 months of bleeding I finally stopped on my own a few days ago. I guess that's what happens when it takes forever to get anything scheduled with my doc lol.
My doc wants me to go on birth control now (I wasn't on it before). So today, I took my first BC pill ever. I guess we'll see what happens!
A good friend of mine recommended that I look into doing a low-carb diet to help with the PCOS. I'm in the researching and pondering stage. I'm not quite sure how I feel about it yet, but some of science behind it seems compelling.
Good luck with your doctor! If they have any interesting advice, let me know!
My Ovulation Chart
So I had my appointment today. Everything came back positive (which I was expecting). She said that there were a lot of cysts on both ovaries and that my left one was quite a bit larger and the right one and was misshapen (sp?). I also am having some issues with my testosterone levels and something with my liver. I don't remember everything.
She said that she could either put me on BC pills or on metaformin. She said that the metaformin increases fertility so we needed to make sure we were ok with that first. Before she starts perscribing anything she wants me to see an Endocronolist. I'm waiting to hear from them to schedule an appointment. I'll let you know what happens with that.
