DH and I went to Daruma tonight for dinner (thanks to Ashlee talking about hibachi) and saw Ashlee and her DH there. As we're finishing our dinner, Luckyinlove and her DH walk in. After dinner, DH and I went to meet some friends at Taps for trivia and saw CD and her DH!
Apparently, it was my night to see Nesties.

Re: Night of the Nesties
Haha, that's amazing!
So our cook there saw me showing you the u/s photos, and he gave me TONS of extra food, "for the baby." I've never eaten so much at a hibachi place. It was amazing.
It was too funny running into you last night! Like I said, I thought we might see Ashlee in passing but I didn't expect to see you. Oh, and the recommendation for Daruma was a really good one. Our food was great!
That's awesome! I had to make myself not eat everything so I could take some for lunch today and ended up ordering fries at Taps.
Glad you enjoyed it! It was a kid at Ashlee's table's birthday and he got a really good looking piece of cake. Did they give you cake?
i wanted to steal it. it was cheesecake drizzled with chocolate.
i almost got a piece for the road, but my pants were bursting.
No. DH knows I'm really trying to be good about what I eat so he asked me if I wanted the singing and cheesecake and I said no. I'm proud of my self control.
We take James out to dinner all the time. Daruma's is especially good because the activity at the table keeps him more entertained. Also, in general I found it to be much easier to go out with him when he was less than 9 months than now, so go for it.
There was a 10 month old baby at our table, who was clearly a very happy baby anyway, but she LOVED all the activity. She was mesmerized. I'd definitely take a baby there!
Small world!
We take B out to dinner all the time too - he LOVES going to the hibachi places. He went through a phase right after he started walking where it was a total PITA because he didn't want to sit still at all, but we worked through it and he's a total rock star now, I love it.
I would never have thought of a hibachi with the kids, but that's a great idea! I may request that for my birthday later this month! Jonathan will be 9 months, and Jeffery exactly 2.5, so hopefully they'll enjoy it too.
And I LOVE me some hibachi!
