I am sure this has been asked before, but I am too lazy to look so I am asking agan...  Pros?  Cons ?  I do not want to do it, but my DH is insistent.. thing that makes me nervous is he owns his own Business, he has a tax form called K-1 so does it tell you where to get all the information? We got a new hot water heater this year, we get an extra credit for that does it mention it on this form, property taxes?  at least if I go to an accountant I just throw him all my stuff and he goes through it all and plugs in the info.

 

Makes me nervous then how do I know the IRS received it, etc.  Just too much of the unknown to me, but the DH is soo insistent he wants to run through it.  Thanks for any info

It asks you absolutely everything and covers all bases. We have used it for 3 years and love it. My husband is a CPA but does auditing so he's not in touch with all the new tax stuff so we use turbotax. Never had any issues.  It tells you when it was sent...confirmation it's processing, etc.

We have used it in the past and loved it. Easy to use and audits you along the way if i remember. We have since hired an accountant so i haven't used it in a few years.

I would get the Turbotax deluxe or premier- I have had K-1s in the past and use the deluxe version and it's no problem. They ask Everything, and will run an audit at the end,etc.

I've used it forever with no issues.

I was hesitant, but we used it for the first time this year and it was great.  We were spending $300-400 to have our taxes done in the past, but this year just the $100 for TT.  I will say, this first year was a little difficult with my business, but now I know for next year and it will be a breeze. I highly recommend it.
