Job Update

Here's where I stand:

Although they would start out at 10.00/hr its not full time so Im making more right now, and they dont want someone to start until April. They said they were concerned if an opportunity presented itself in the dental field I would leave. So I told them I do want to pursue more schooling for hygeine. They also want a 2month notice before you leave. Well, Im starting school later this year so Id have to give a notice 2months in. Then theyd be looking for someone again so soon. I wont be accepting the job needless to say. I had told H that if I didnt get this job, I would pursue careers in Columbus. WELL. I applied to Aspen Dental (here) and whaddya know, they called me today asking if I was willing to relocate to the Great Columbus area. Uh YEAH?! oh yeah! I have an interview Friday @ 1, and theres a good chance they would want me to start immediately. Ive talked with a friend about staying with her until I could find an apt and shes fine with it. We will have to move in steps

1. I move and start working while staying with A

2. I find us an apartment

3. H finding employment

4. Move all our stuff

Re: Job Update

  • Wow that's really exciting. How far is this new move going to be from where you are now?

Job#1 sounds weird. And at $10/hr, what a smack in the face. Plus requiring two months notice? That's a little extreme.

    Good luck!

  • Were about 3-3.5 hrs from the center of Columbus. Im looking at places on the western side of the city.

As far as job #1 goes- they require 2 months because they are soooo lazy. The fired the previous woman in January, reviewed apps in Feb, are interviewing in March and want someone to start in April. Uhmmmmm ok.

    Anyway thank you!
