SolarCity

Does anyone have experience with SolarCity & their solarlease program?

The program looks like a cost-effective way to get residential solar panels without big upfront costs. Reviews online look to be consistently good. Anyone here use them or know someone who has used them?

Re: SolarCity

  • We have them!  It's great!  Our panels have been in place for about a year and a half.  Actually two of our friends have gone through them and put panels on their house.  Great way to get solar without the upfront cost.  PM me if you have any questions, or email me at bubbs147 at aol.com.
  • We have them too!  Thanks to the bubbs147!  :-)

We have saved SO MUCH MONEY!  DH calculated that we have save over $2000 in this first year!  We didn't put any money down and pay about $120/month for the lease.  Our bills for electricity have been about $30 so $150/month on average including the lease.  Before panels we were paying about $300-$400/month.

And I love the fact that we're able to use the energy from the sun!
