anyone have a cleaning lady they love?

I am going to try to talk DH into letting me get a cleaning lady once or twice a month.. He works til 7:30 every night and I work full time too so on the weekends, we have to clean, have our family time, friend time, couple time, get house projects done, have our own free time, shop, etc and there just isn't enough time for everything.. If you have someone, how much do you pay and what do they do?

I used  a couple before our wedding for a one time cleaning.  I got the name from a friend.  I don't still have the info, but will e-mail her for the name and number.  I know my old boss started using them too.

I too would like the info! I think I'd like to hire someone to come in maybe once every month to do a deep cleaning, I HATE to deep clean! And do they orgainze? I need help with that! LOL

It might take a day or two before I hear back from my friend.  I asked her if this couple was looking for additional houses.

YES! I think it saved our marriage ;-) We pay $75 for her to come every other week. She basically does everything I ask her to do (vacuum, mop the floor, wipe all counter tops, scrub bathrooms, change beddings, and she does the laundry for bed sheets and our dog's towels). She'd do my laundry too, but I am very particular about how those are done, so I told her not to. She normally does it in around 4 hrs, but some weeks, it's 4-5, and this past Christmas, she cleaned my house for 6 hrs!!

I had used Fresh Breeze Cleaning (name is Debbie) and loved them for the short time we were there.  Very good customer service.  Our house was a 2 BR, 1 1/2 BA approx 1200 sq ft and charged us $65.

I live up in Ames and hired through ISU student job board.  You may want to look at Drake/Grandview students.  They usually are willing to work for much less money than someone who does this as their business and I was surprised how many had previous experience.

We hired someone to come every other week and we pay her $15/hour.  She is usually here 3 hours, but is always willing to work longer if I have a bigger project for her to do or something.
