Family update
So for those who saw my last post, I'm happy to say that things have been getting better and consistently better at that.
We both talked about our sides, and established some expectations and understanding of one another. Ever since, things have been better. We're able to talk about difficult topics a little easier now. Here's to hoping things continue like this

Yeah, things have been a lot smoother.
This past weekend, I went to visit my mom and while I was away, he worked on our guest bedroom and bathroom to surprise me when I got back. He had stacked the mattress and boxspring up against the wall in the guest room, and while he was sitting down on the floor to put together the bed frame, the box spring hadn't been properly stacked and fell on him. Luckily he heard it and bent over, so most of it was on his back, but it also hit the back of his head. Timing had it that I showed up 10 minutes later, and he was emotional because he was both worried about what happened to him and that he hadn't finished with the room before I got home. I was freaked out too and told him to never do heavy-related lifting things without me there, and he agreed. His head his fine, though, and I watched him the rest of the day. We finished up the projects together.
It's strange how things happen for a reason!! Happy to hear that he wasn't injured but it is scary that he could have been hurt again.
H and I just finished a little rough patch too. I was giving him the silent treatment and suprise suprise, it didn't work!
