re post: Bachelorette Party in Portland, ME?
We are looking for ideas for a bachelorette party. The bride loves attention and the bm's don't have a ton of money to spend. I will be coming from Boston so I have no idea but I told the MOH I would look into it for her.
What did you do that was fun? Any restaurant recs? Are there any pole dancing classes around the area? A party bus?
Thank you!

Re: re post: Bachelorette Party in Portland, ME?
I would suggest going to a local board for this question.
I'm not in Portland, but what we did for a few parties I've been to:
Gathering at someone's house with games, snacks & cake, pinata, drinks. Limo to a local bar to sing kareoke. then out on the town to bar hop and drink. Limo took all of us home.
For a party after shower- we hung out, went shopping to kill time, out to dinner. Got a hotel room so we went there to pre-party/get ready. out on the town bar hopping and just having fun- ended up running into groom and his friends and made it a fun night.
Spa treatments at a local spa with lunch, wine, dessert. On to someone's house for games, wine and hanging out/getting ready for the night. Out to dinner at Melting Pot. (Bride didnt want anything drinking focused or super drawing attention to her).
Appetizers at someone's house with games/gifts if you're doing gifts. Wine tour. out on the town or out to dinner.
You could absolutely do some things on the cheap. Dinner at someone's house, manicures or pedicure or both (depending what people want) at a spa/salon. Party City or craft stores have a ton of decorations and bachelorette paraphenalia to chose from. We had a boa for the bride (bride asked not to wear it because it was prickly), and mardi gras beads for everyone. I made wine glasses for each guest of the party (went to $ store and picked up some glass paint- painted names on each glass and if they were in the wedding party- bridesmaid under that or maid of honor)--huge hit.
Good luck and have fun!
