I didn't get a chance to update last night, and after I posted in Pooks post, there really wasn't anymore information.
But today brought some great news. They took out the drainage tube, which they ddin't anticipate doing until Fri. Also she was cleared to sit up in bed and eat a little. Tomorrow she will be evaluated on whether she will need PT services to help her walk.
She is definitely a fighter and does things on her own schedule. She was very alert last night and was trying to engage the nurses in converstaions. My grandma loves to talk and will discuss anything. My family did tell the nurses not to let my grandma suck them into a conversation. She can go on for quite a long time and is hard to end a conversaion with her.
So it seems that she will be back to her old self very soon. I don't know yet when they will release her from the hospital, but I would say at the latest early next week the way things have been going.
Re: Update on my grandma
I'm glad to hear that she is doing well. The fact that she talks a lot made me giggle. Old people sure do like to tell their stories.
Welcome to the dark side
Damn nest posted before I was done, and I can't edit posts at work.
Anyways, I just wanted to add that I am so thankful for the kind words from you ladies and all the T&P's. I really don't know what I would do without you ladies!

The funny part is a lot of the time she is doesn't tell the.. when I was young stories. she talks politics and current events with you. Heck she will sit down and watch c-span to make sure she knows what is going on in Washington. She keeps up with my local politics, she lives in FL, we're in NY.
