One of my friends called to tell me about this segment on Jon Stewart. I find it even more hysterical because I drive an almost 10 year old Hyundai.

Ha, you just made me smile with that video, and it was a very needed smile, too.
I love John Stewart! He is so incredibly right; I honestly think he's smarter than about 99% of our politicians. It seriously makes me want to throw up when ignorant people who have no clue what being a teacher entails make uneducated comments about the amount of work that we do. Let's see: I make less than 30k a year, typically work a 12-14 hour work day if you include the time I spend grading and planning, and have to try to help students who could care less about my class because they're just glad that they don't have to be at home during school hours because, although they're 12-14 years old, they have to be the adult in their family. Yes, clearly teachers are the source of all of America's problems.
