Windows 7 Professional: Backup and Restore?
I'm in the process of picking out a new laptop. I currently have a mac, and while I love it, I cannot stomach the price for one. The MacBook Pro I have no was bought by my work.
One of the features I use a lot on my mac is Time Machine. It looks like if you buy the Professional version of Windows 7, it has a function called Backup and Restore that essentially does the same thing. Is anyone familiar with the function? Does it work easily? Ideally, I'd want it to back up to a networked drive over a wireless connection. Will it cause problems to back up to a drive that's not physically plugged into the machine?
TIA!
Re: Windows 7 Professional: Backup and Restore?
Yes, it works easily. This review is pretty thorough:

You can back up to a networked drive.
Alternatively, you could skip the Backup and Restore and use a 3rd party service like Mozy with remote storage.
