Re: Something about this is just wrong.

  • That is odd.  Crunches are the last thing you should do when you're pregnant.
  • Aww shucks, I have that DVD.  Embarrassed  It's also available on Netflix streaming if you have it.  But yeah, I actually like the workout.  It's totally chill, although the instructor can be a little too... I dunno... sweet? googly? hippy? too calm?  I dunno.  But yeah overall, I do like it and always felt better after doing it.

But I'm also not a big yoga person so I wasn't looking for anything major, just light stretching and relaxation.
  • i work at a yoga studio part time. i asked recently and i don't remember crunches being on the do not do list for pregnancy (although i've never in my life heard the term "crunches" in yoga, so i'll just say i haven't heard to avoid working your abdominals). i know for sure you want to avoid deep twists which can cut off oxygen to the baby.

Me:39 Dx LPD, Fibroid, AMA and all that goes with that. H:37 Dx low motility and low morphology. TTC since 3/12. Clomid 8/12 and 9/12: BFN. 11/12 on a break for Myomectomy sched. 11/26. Resume TTC early 2013.
  • C'mon ya'll... there's no crunches in that workout whatsoever.  It's merely the name of the gym/brand.

Yes.  Yeah, it's the 'brand' or whatever... I've got Crunch Pilates (non-maternity, obviously).  I haven't done it in a while, but I liked it b/c they have the 'host' and then sort of a co-host I guess, who does a modified/easier version, which is good if you're a beginner (or lazy... I'm both ;)).

  • I think I was way off last night b/c yall did get any of my jokes! I know there's no crunches in the workout, I just thought it was funny that there's a prenatal dvd by a company called crunch.

I will try to do better with my entertainment in the future.
