Best Disney Parks to take 3 year old?

Hi ladies! I hope you don't get asked questions like this a lot... sorry if you do! But I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for the best Disney parks to go with a 3 year old girl? We are taking DD in 2 weeks for her Birthday. We're just going for 2 days, 1 night, and I am thinking we will do Magic Kingdom and 1 other park. Any advice or tips? I haven't been to Disney in forever! Thanks :)

  • I would say Animal Kingdom, most kids love animals. Epcot and Hollywood studios to me would be no fun until at least 13+

  • Either Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios. They both have parades/shows to watch and not as many rides as Magic Kingdom. IMO Epcot would def be one to pass on, it can be pretty boring.

  • I also recommend Animal Kingdom.  There are a few good shows, a few animal areas, and lots of characters (with hardly any lines) at Camp Minnie-Mickey.
  • My hubs works for The Mouse. ;)

Animal Kingdom has the Finding Nemo musical show, which is very good. Consider your child's temperament, though - the dark and then suddenly changing lights paired with loud sound effects kinda freaked my daughter out at 4yo.

Hollywood Studios isn't completely little-kid oriented, but they have the Toy Story Mania experience, as well as the Playhouse Disney (or whatever they're calling it these days) musical show with all the characters from Mickey's Playhouse, Handy Manny, My Friends Tigger & Pooh, Little Einsteins, etc. There's also a meet & greet after the show. H/S also has a playground left over from the 'Honey I Shrunk the Kids' days, a sort-of decent stage version of Beauty and the Beast, and a few Old-Hollywood-style street actors that tend to hold kids' attention pretty well.

I'd avoid EPCOT (although they do have the jumping water... SO cool...), as PP said. Have fun. :)
