Flame Free Confessions Friday

Re: Flame Free Confessions Friday

  • I love him with all my heart, but i'm glad that DH is going out of town this weekend without me. :) I've been so busy with school stuff that i haven't been the best wife lately. :-/ I'm looking forward to having some downtime so i can get homework done and not worry about him and what he's doing/wants to do for the weekend.

  • I would LOVE 1 night away from the baby...so I can sleep! =)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE her, but I am so sleep deprived from waking up every few hours that I don't feel rested as all. I miss her terribly when I'm away from her just a few hours, so I know this will never happen. lol But, a girl can dream. *sigh*

Oh, Bonnie, don't feel bad about wanting a night away from your DD. It is totally normal! If you're not comfortable leaving her overnight (with say, your parents), keep telling yourself that this too shall pass. She will start STTN, I promise! Heck, I still want a night away from Sasha every so often and she's been sleeping just fine Wink

My confession: even though it'd be completely reasonable to have DD stay the weekend with my ILs (we're going cross-country skiing tomorrow), she'll be staying with my parents for just tomorrow. Because I don't want to not be able to hang out with her at all. And because tomorrow is her "half-birthday" and we have very exciting new Toy Story toys for her. And yes, I'm aware that half-birthdays aren't a real cause for celebration, but still. I'm pretty sure DH thinks I'm just being stubborn.

  • I find it hysterical when the cat steals food from LittlePokey. Especially when the cat just walks up and takes a bite out of whatever LP is holding. I know I shouldn't let him, but that poor cat needs some sort of payback for all the torture LP puts him through.

  • i've been feeling terrible that we are spending more on my birthday festivities this weekend than we did on DH's a few weeks ago.  ...but then DH texted me today, saying he just got a bonus, out of the blue. so i don't feel so bad anymore.

I totally agree! I'm so much more productive on the weekends/evenings when DH isn't around to 'decide' how we spend our time. And relaxing too - I don't feel pressure for us to have a good weekend together.

And Bonnie - I feel the same. I constantly daydream about my lovely sleep nights before I was pregnant - when I could sleep in, sleep for 12 hours...be lazy and take naps when I wanted. Freddie was a great sleeper as a newborn, but has since gone the other way. So fingers crossed for you that she will find longer sleep stretches as she gets older. Also, I've found napping during the day with Freddie is a huge help. Keeps me feeling sane to get the extra hour or two.

I need this.... more time for school work!  It's getting to crunch time and there aren't enough hours in the day.  However, hubs will be off work all weekend, and we are using the time together to do TAXES!  Bleh.

  • I'm just now realizing I might not have enough wine glasses for tomorrow's GTG.  I'm hoping nobody is classy enough that they won't mind drinking wine out of a water glass.

    LOL.  Klassy.

I hope my awesome cheese plates and knives can make up for the lack of appropriate stemware.
