Anyone have 2 cell phones? Work & Personal?

How much of a pain is it to carry both? It looks like I might be needing to do this soon. Ugh. Like I need one more thing to add to my purse! ha

Re: Anyone have 2 cell phones? Work & Personal?

  • I don't, but many of my co-workers do. They say it's a pain.
My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

  • I used to but I always ended up using my personal for work stuff. I turned in my work cell and use my personal for all calls. When I get my statement, I highlight the phone calls related to work and I get reimbursed. Sometimes it is so small (like less than $2) it is not worth it.

Basically my work was pay $60 a month for a phone I rarely used.

  • I used to have a blackberry for work & then my personal phone. I carried the blackberry on my hip, and the personal phone in my purse or it sat on my desk. When I was at home after work or on the weekends, the blackberry stayed in my purse.

It was annoying but that is what worked for me.

DH just uses his personal phone for work & his office reimburses him about half of his costs.

  • I really don't find it all that annoying.  It's nice to be able to seperate work from your life (by putting down the work cell phone but still having your personal with you).
  • I just use my work phone for personal calls too.  None of my employers has ever had a problem with this and I don't talk much on the phone anyway.  I would hate carrying two devices.
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • My Dh does and he actually has set his personal phone to forward to his business phone so he doesn't have to carry two.
  • I carry both a BB and personal phone.  While sometimes it seems like a pain it's also nice on those certain occasions when I don't want to be tied to work, I just leave the BB at home. I have a really hard time not checking the work BB when it's right there in my purse.  I think too it helps if you're a big purse person, I always have a huge bag so carrying another one just adds to my already existing chaos. :)
