s/o New Faces.. Lurkers?

This doesn't seem the type of board to have em.. but out of curiousity, are there lurkers on this board?  I feel like the view counts are a little high to account for the ladies that post regularly and I didn't notice any "unfamiliar" posters in the New Faces thread.

So, aside from the trolls, are there actually lurkers here?  If so, speak up!

Oh I read like 50 posts for every one a post in.  I know it seems I post regularly, but I read LOTS more.

Just because I loved trolls when I was a kid. I had one that when you pressed his belly button it said, "I Feel Lucky" "Give me a kiss!" "You're my best friend."

In hiensight, it was a little creepy.

I think this is because it counts every single view to the post, not just the number of people that have viewed it.

When you create a new post, it counts as one view. Every time you respond is another view. And if you go back into the post 5 times to read other people's responses, that's 5 more views...

I like to go in after I view and reply just to see what everyone has to say! so I get counted a few times for the same post I've already looked at posted to, and what not!

I think it just depends on the post...but I have thought about posting an "are you there" poll, just out of curiousity to see how many of "us" there are since you can only vote once

I think the views tally is totally unnecessary because it is as PP mentioned, not really accurate.  I know lots of times I go back and read responses.  If it kept track of unique views that would be a little different.

So when something is viewed 110+ times and has 10 responses.. you all think it's mainly those 6-8 people checking back in?  Really?

I look a few times usually but the really high ones seem to me to have lurkers.....

I often read, don't have anything to say, but still check back in a few times to read everyone else's responses.  Like if the subject is interesting to me, but I don't have an opinion, or anything of value to share (which is more often than not with me).

But I agree - there have to be some lurkers out there!

sometimes I'll view at work or on my phone when I can't post, or sometimes I just get too blonde to remember what I have viewed...
