so maybe some of you were following the rug drama from a few weeks ago...
well, i have been fruitlessly shopping around for a replacement...and this time, one that is hand tufted and not petit point hooked...LOL
it is impossible...i have decided. i have looked at overstock, smart bargains, home decorators, jcp, pottery barn, west elm, bed bath and beyond and similar stores... i have gone to home depot, lowes, marshals, home goods, tj maxx....nothing
i suppose my desire for that room is just too specific, and there was only one rug that fit the bill.... damn...
devastated....LOL....are there ANY other places that i haven't though to look? or have all the possible stores been exhausted?
Re: a rug will never be found...
P1!!!!!!!!!!!!! A bunch of their rugs are on sale!!! AND I HAVE A 25% DISCOUNT!!!
ps- I'm sorry to inform you that we're out of those cute little pumpkin kitty things =( but we still have the super cute spookies! AND our h-ween stuff should be going on sale soon!

Great thinking, erin&gregg!
I think this one would look really good, it's sort of in the same color family as your drapes:

that one is nice, but i am looking for more blue and ivory only....to blend with my china and such
and the price point on a 6X9 in that one you guys listed is a little painful! LOL
that is another thing holding me back from the perfect rug....the price...
yeah...i checked target...they actually have one that i love...but not in a 6X9

my computer at work doesn't let me see colors very well. What colors are you looking for. Sorry I'm sending too much info.
girl no! you are fine!
i am looking specifially for blue and ivory...and the blue leans towards wedgewood blue....not a baby or sky blue. i have a bay window in my dining room that is dressed with white sheers and wedgewood blue dupioni drapes....all my furniture is antique passed down from my mother....and i don't want a super formal feel in the room, as we have never been formal people....i do want the rug to lean on the traditional side, as the furniture in there is very traditional....
frustration! LOL
the first one you sent just now gets close to what i am looking for....
AWW that sux that your having such a hard time.
I was going to say check out FLOR, I hear great things about there stuff.
Maybe something like this, you can pick the size, color all kinds of stuff. They have a TON on there website.
that is pretty...but that thickness photo on their site makes it look like it would be a loop that monkey would destroy!
thanks y'all for your suggestions and ideas! i think i have too many specifics and limitations in my quest...
I can't offer any better suggestions than what's been said, but think of it this way:
Since you'll have your china for the rest of your life, then if you spend money on a rug, it's really just a lifetime investment, right?
oh yeah! absolutely! the problem is just going to be finding another "perfect" rug like the first one i pictured...i don't think you were around for my rug saga, but i bought that rug, it was perfect! EXCEPT it was the perfect loop for my cat, Monkey, to sink her claws into and ruin....i had it down on the floor for 2 days, and she had already pulled up several of the loops....so back it went!
awesome! thank you so much! i hadn't thought of macy's....and i will check that place behind krystals out!
