Website to help choose exterior house colors??
DH and I are having our house repainted in a week. We want to do green as the main color, white shutters & trim, and dark brown accents. I am worried about picking the right shade of green. Are there any good websites for choosing exterior colors (I am going to HD tomorrow to look at their color books etc.)? I am looking for house pics with the color listed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Re: Website to help choose exterior house colors??
I used the Benjamin Moore website paint thing where you can "paint" things in a picture so I just uploaded a picture of my house exterior and chose the parts of the house I wanted painted (I.e the door and shutters) and started going through their fan deck online trying the colors I liked and writing them down and then went and picked up the paint chips to see them IRL, and I'll have the color I eventually choose color matched at Lowes
HTH!
I love the color of your house. Just showed DH and there is a very good chance we will use Boughs of Pine. Thank you so much!! BTW, your house is beautiful.
So cool! I am going to try this out! I was looking for a tool like that on Lowes and Home Depot but didn't think about trying Benjamin Moore. I will def check out. Thank you!
Our painting company used either SW or Kwal for their paint. We choose a SW paint and it was really helpful buying a few small cans to do test paints before we decided. Then I used the SW tool to see what it would look like and what the best accent colors were. Here is a pic of our house ext. if you're interested:
