I'm catching up via DVR. The last one I saw even had a surrogate. I don't cry at most of them, but that one had me tearing up. It was pretty cool.

I really like it.  Especially after doing my internship in Labor and Delivery they do as "real" of a glimpse as they can.  I accidently caught it on Tuesday night when I was not able to sleep and laying in bed.  I miss my L&D area already. 

Mrs. Reem the surrogate one made me tear up too and made me think of you.  I can't believe they said surrogacy is illegal where they were fun (Switzerland?  Finland?  somewhere over there!)

This show has become one of my guilty pleasures, but I really don't think its a realistic glimpse at birth at all.  They take the most sensational ones and air them. I've sat in from start to end of three vaginal delivers, watched countless videos, and had my own c-section and none of them were even remotely as dramatic as what they show.   

The surrogate couple totally made me tear up and I loved that story.

It's not legal in every state here in the US either. Crazy huh? Iowa just happens to be a surrogate friendly state.

I guess I also watch it from a different point of view than most of you.  I've never had a child, I've never been pregnant.  So when I watch it I'm more engrossed with the nurses on the show than I am the mom's and their actual births.  The nurses goofing off in the station, how they relate with their patients, and what their job is how I watch and enjoy the show.

I watch it, it's turned into one of the crap tv shows that I started watching when I was on bedrest. The husband with add was cracking me up! That so would have been dh if the NCAA tourny wasn't on when I was on labor with Reese! And mrsreem, I thought of you when I watched the last episode. I was bawling my eyes out (stupid hormones!). That woman is a saint for being a surrogate. And did y'all catch that it was her second surrogacy? Her first, she carried twins!

Wow, that seems crazy to me that it's not legal in every state! It seems like such a great thing to not be legal?  I think it's very cool that you are doing it - what an amazing gift!
