I have been looking for things to do w/ G over the next couple of weeks and thought I'd share a couple of ideas. This are pretty simple and basic b/c I am not very creative and I don't like big messes.
Plus, she is just too young to do advanced crafts.
G loves for me to trace her hands. This will be an easy one. I bought some gold chocolate coins at target's dollar spot, which she'll wake up to on the 17th, at the end of her rainbow.
Ok, I can't copy the next picture, but all you do is cut out a large pot from black paper, and then let the child cut out "coins" from tin foil and gold wrapping paper (we happen to have some), and glue the coins in the pot.
This is self-explanatory. I plan to have her glue fruit loops rather than dyed noodles b/c I don't care to dye noodles myself.
Ok, the next one won't copy either. Weird. Anyway, just make a large shamrock out of white or black paper. Then cut several 1'' wide strips out of green paper. Have you child then cut the strips into random sized squares. This helps them practice cutting. Glue on the shamrock.
Oh, and a glue tip that I just read for the first time - put a nice pile of glue in a little dish and then give your child a q-tip to use to apply it. I have always handed G the elmers and it is a disaster. We try glue sticks but they aren't nearly as satisfying to her and don't work as well.
Here is a cute song to sing (sang to little tea pot)
