Brady Quinn of the Cleveland Browns, that is. As I was driving to the bus stop this morning, NPR played a clip of Quinn introducing John McCain at a rally yesterday. He was the quarterback the whole time I was at ND. He IS Irish football to me. I'm so sad. I may have to spend the morning in a corner, hugging myself and crying.

Re: Dead to me!
Teehee, well now I know who my BIL is voting for!
(The inlaws live in South Bend). ...And I think you might be in the same class as my cousin... She graduated ND in '05.
Hey, not everybody in South Bend is conservative! We ousted the Republican incumbent congressman in 2006 and put a Democrat in for Indiana's 2nd district! Woot!
My years at ND coincided with Brady's years as starting QB - football seasons '04, '05, '06. Ah well, at least I can take comfort knowing that the Browns suck.
Haha, oh, I know. But my BIL leans right and writes for a ND sports publication...and would thus possibly be influenced by Brady Quinn. I think he was already voting for McCain, though.
I'm from Terre Haute originally (8th district), and my republican parents helped elect a democratic congressman. Brad Ellsworth = sooo much better than Hostettler. The thing with democrats in Indiana is that they tend to be pretty moderate. And the republicans aren't that bad, either. I think with Hostettler gone, we're pretty much free of offensive politicians, lol.
Eh -- it's not like it's the starting quarterback's endorsement!
(Although with the way Derek Anderson's been playing, I wish the Browns would put in Quinn for a change.)
That's exactly how I felt when Chuck Norris endorsed Huckabee.
Ok not really but your post made me laugh with your image of spending the morning by mourning in the fetal position.

ETA: Sorry for making the post wonky!
I heard that this morning and was so sad!!
Of course I really wasn't impressed with him at the draft either (I percieve a serious degree of racism in coverage of individual athletes, and when the black athletes are waiting to be drafted with the epitome of class, and the great white hope Brady Quinn is slouching in his chair with his jacket off and his hair like he just woke up, and a blonde hanging off of him, it only enhances my
