Hotel Help Please

Hey we are planning a trip to a KC Royals game in May. Please recommend a hotel near the Stadium.  Also any fun ideas for us and our two kiddos.  We plan on going for a long weekend hitting a game and then oceans of fun.  Me my dh, and out kids who will be 3 and 8 month old.

Thanks so much!

Re: Hotel Help Please

  • It isn't very near the stadium, but your 3 year old might enjoy the Great Wolf Lodge.

There is a Holiday Inn Express (I think) right by the stadium.

  • You might also consider staying at one of the hotels in crown center. It's central, so you could hang out at crown center (fountains, crayola, science city) and also be close to the plaza, and you could drive east to the stadium and worlds/oceans of fun or drive west to great wolf lodge.

  • This is probably the closet hotel to the stadium.  It's been a lot of things over the years but it's currently a Holiday Inn: http://www.cocokeywaterresort.com/locations/kansascity/index.aspx.  It has an indoor water park now that's supposed to compete with Great Wolf Lodge, although I haven't seen it in person so I don't really know how it compares.  There are also several hotels near Worlds of Fun/Oceans of Fun but I bet your 3 year old would have a lot of fun at the CoCo Key/Holiday Inn place.
  • If you want to get away from all the traffic there is a nice hotel 14 miles East of the stadium.  marriott.com/micbs
  • There are hotels right next to the statium, but I would recommend staying a little further away. Traffic is not good around then and also there isn't much to do around the Royals statium besides go to a Royals game.
