how was your weekends all??
We had one but I don't know where it went! I ran errands like a mad woman on Saturday and was in bed by 10 (gosh I'm old!) and spent Sunday with family. My Grandma is in the hospital - nothing too serious, she was having trouble breathing well and so they hospitalized her to figure it out- so we went and spent the late morning with her and spent the evening with my fam for dinner.
I feel bad for my Grandma. We lost my Grandpa this past summer after he fell and hit his head so she's all alone. She said she doesn't want to do a lot of moving around anymore so maybe wherever they put her for transitional care is where she'll just stay.
Shes 94 and still totally "with it" mentally and I think that she is going to be hard pressed to find many people of her same mental health in a nursing home facility. Guess we'll just have to visit more so she can talk to more folks who have access to their memories.
Re: Monday Monday...
The weekend...yeah, didn't really have one even though I was off three days. I had to go on a "fieldtrip" on Friday, and Sat/Sun were spent putting together a residential presentation due today--which sucks because I spent no time studying for tomorrow's history test. Whatevs, I'll survive.
Sorry about your grandma. People do just hit a certain age and get in a mindset. The good news is, there are plenty of people in nursing homes/assisted living facilities who are active. DH's grandma will be 91 this year. She lives in an assisted living facility, stays active with her church, goes on cruises around the world, plays in euchre and bridge clubs, and participates in a lot of the activities her home provides. The only reason she moved there (and this applies to a lot of people her age) is because she didn't want to maintain her large house any longer since it was just her. You'd be surprised how active people can be who live in homes.
I had a lovely weekend--lots of relaxing and knitting (I made about 3/4 of a sweater already). And yoga. To help my friend promote her studio, I'm doing a 30-day challenge (5-6 days a week for 30 days) and blogging about the benefits of a regular practice, changes, successes, etc. I'm only about 5 days in and I'm feeling really good about it. Hello, bikini bod.
Then I got to work this morning, with the Boss's judgmental questions about my weekend and eating habits and good mood, gone. Moody Monday, indeed.
Witty--I'm so sorry about your Grandma! That's so tough. I think my grandmother is going to be in the same position soon. She's still very sharp--reads insatiably, but she's been falling more and more. I hope your Grandma finds somewhere comfortable with plenty of people at her speed.

Friday after work I went to a new yoga class that was supposed to be mellow (which it kinda was because the movements are more methodical), but it actually turned into a dance party at one point! A peppy song came on and the whole class (easily a hundred people) started dancing. It was so fun!
Saturday morning I took my notary exam (snooze, but I need it for work) and lounged around the house. Yesterday DH and I took SIL and niece to the Little Mermaid Sing-Along at the historic theater in our neighborhood. We all had an amazing time and I even caught hubby boisterously singing "Under the Sea". LOL!
All-in-all, a good weekend.
