On Saturday we had some really really bad weather. My mom sent me a text that we were under a tornado warning. Since we don't have cable yet I turned on the radio and heard the warning. We watched from the windows as the rain flew by and tried to listen for the train sound or whistling. We were just about to go and hide in my tiny closet when it started to slack off. Later I heard that there was a tornado that touched down in the next town over from us. Yesterday afternoon I was driving and saw obvious tornado damage about a mile from my house. During the storm I never heard any sirens or anything. It's so scary to think of how close it came and we had no idea!

Re: Tornados
There is always a weird calmness right before a tornado, and the sky turns a weird pink-purplish color. And, yeah the train sound too.
So glad you guys were ok, that's scary!
I know exactly what you are talking about with the pink sky, but that didn't happen this time. The rain was really really heavy and it was like a white-out. We're under another watch today...blah!
