I have an interview this week. I don't know what day yet, but that's just details!
How do I address my pregnancy?
Should I
not bring it up and decline to answer questions related to it? Isn't it illegal for them to deny me a job because I'm pregnant?
Normally, I'd just wear my suit with a cami, but in my current shape, I'm not so sure. Here are my options:
Suit: Basic style suit, jacket doesn't button, several cami/tank top options (mauve shell?), have to wear belly band since I can't zip/button the pants, black flats (a bit worn) or closed-toe 1.5" wedges (I think is what they'd be called)
Dress pants & top: ON Perfect Khakis (seem more causal than actual dress pants?), a couple options for tops, same shoe options as above
Dress: 2 options, one in gray, one in red This is the closest I can find to either of them, but mine have sleeves, both are different styles; black (opaque) or nude hose, shoe options as above or black upper-calf high 3-inch boots
Skirt & top: Knee-length charcoal skirt, a couple options for tops, black or nude hose, shoe/boot options above.
Re: Interview attire & advice
No, don't bring it up. They most likely won't ask (although it's pretty obvious considering how far along you are). If they do ask, don't ignore their questions though because if you do get hired, you'll need to address maternity leave sooner than later.
You're right, they can't not hire you because you're pregnant... but they can not hire you for 'other reasons'. One might be because of your pregnancy, but legally they would never state that.
I think you look totally adorable in the pic, but the top isn't interview appropriate. Too much skin. I would wear a higher neckline for sure.
Good luck on the interview!

I would change the top to something more professional and I would style your hair down, so a trim wouldn't be bad.
Good luck! What position are you interviewing for?
The mauve shell I'm thinking about wearing (must make sure it fits first!) is a much more professional neckline.
Honestly, I'm not sure what the position covers.
Quality Tech in a factory setting. The job description sounds like a secretarial position and makes sense, but the specific duties - calibration maintenance?! - throw me off. But my mom is friends with the daughter of who will be my boss, if hired, and she says I'll be perfect at the job and love it.
Interviewer: What are your maternity leave plans?
Me: ::crickets::
haha, I didn't quite mean ignore! I just didn't know how much information I should divulge to them. I'm planning on just a 6 week leave and wouldn't be opposed to going back PT at 4 weeks or something. Should I just tell them that?
I wouldn't (keep in mind, I'm not HR so I have no 'professional experience'). But by saying you plan on coming back at 6 weeks or would be okay with PT at 4 weeks kind of pigeon-holes you into that.
If they do ask you leave plans, I would probably say 6 weeks (or your 'minimum') but "I'm willing to be flexible/work with you".
I wasn't ready to go back after 12, so I'd hate to see you say 4 and kick yourself for it later

i agree that you need to show less skin. as long as your hair is not in a bun with a "wet hair" look, i think you are fine to do that. you don't want your hair to look overdone. try teasing a little bit to get a little more volume and do a ponytail or bun if that's how you are comfortable.
also - as far as shoes go...i would not suggest wearing the boots or the worn shoes, especially if they look pretty worn. you would be surprised at what interviewers look at...shoes, fingernails, etc.
good luck.
