Re: (Untitled)

  • lol.  It's funny since I seem to have the opposite problem where I have seen zero signs.  I am actually not surprised my neighborhood lacks political signs in the yards since we are in a very blue state.  However, if we talk about those huge monstrocities that folks like to call Halloween lawn decorations, that is a different story.

You never fail to make me laugh

It's even funnier to imagine a pregnant lady doing this.

We were up in Petaluma last w/e, which is pretty rural hippie land. Didn't see a single McCain sign or bumper sticker (interestingly enough, the Republican running against my Congressman is from Petaluma. She must have felt outnumbered.)

  • LOL. The house in my immediate neighborhood that has a McCain yard sign has 4. One says "McCain 2008," one is "McCain/Palin," another is "Veterans for McCain" and the other one says something about a McCain family. Sometimes I wonder what the convent next door thinks about those signs.

ETA: I went to Whole Foods yesterday, and mine was the only car in the parking lot without at least one Democrat bumper sticker.

  • My area has very few signs for either candidate but there's one on my way home that is more than a yard sign. It's a banner with a picture of McCain's face. Right next to it is, not surprisingly, a big flag. So after passing the striking union workers and getting all riled up I look at that and it makes me feel better. : )

ETA: More than 1 sign is overkill. 3? why. just. why?

You are referring to the inflatables and I LOVE those tacky things!  H is forbidding them, but I don't like to be told what to do.  Wink

lmao.  I think they are cute if their size is within reason.  The one I have to walk by every morning and evening is the size of a garage.  It glows brightly at night, with cartoon ghosts going around the entire inflatable house.  If I was a child, I would actually be frightened!

  • lol

In my town I've passed by two houses with those huuuuge yard signs for McCain.  They are basically a really big banner but stuck into the lawn.  They are really big.  I have no idea where people get them.

  • Our neighborhood does not allow yard signs. Outside the neighborhood I don't see many, but the ones I do see are all McCain. The bulk of the signs are for local election candidates and those far outnumber the few McCain signs I've seen.
