I know this series was brought up in the past couple of weeks and I need to talk so someone about it because I finished the last book (Mockingjay) last night and it was SO GOOD! I highly recommend this series. It's a pretty fast read because once you start reading you can't put it down (at least I couldn't put it down!). I can't wait to see how it will translate into film. I think I will be Team Katniss lol.

Re: Hunger Games
Ha. I just now finished Mockingjay. I read the first few replies to this post when it was first posted. I picked up a definite anti-Gale sentiment, thought it was a spoiler and stopped reading. So of course I kept waiting for Gale to do something horrible in the book, but he didn't.
My goodness, the last book was violent! Surely, they'll tone that down for a movie. But how can you tone down the Hunger Games themselves? You can't. Sounds twisted, but I'm glad they gave the characters emotional repercussions of all that violence. Too often movies and books don't and it's just not real and desensitizes the audience. That has got to be one screwed up family.
