Vacuum recs
I also posted this on the pets board because I am looking for a strong vacuum that will be good on pet hair! I would like to spend $150 max and preferably less. My apartment is all carpet.
Any specific recs?

We have a Bissell Healthy Home and it's been a pretty good vacuum for us. Our dog only sheds mildly, but it has great suction. I also really like the attachements (it has a power brush that is fantastic for furniture and carpeted stairs. We paid under $200 for it, I think.
I bought this vacuum in January and love it! I have a long haired cat who is always shedding and a short haired dog. The suction is great and picks up everything.
I see there is one negative review about it now, but I am still sold! Our old vacuum had bags and they were such a pain! This vacuum is easy to clean and the filter all you need to do is rinse it off and let it dry...which takes about a day. I only vacuum once a week because we live in a townhouse...but I will say I have vacuumed more because the place feels so clean after I use it!
I've only had to clean the filter once after I used it every day once I got it because it picked up so much that my old vacuum had missed.
I have a Dyson which has lasted the longest of any of my vacuums.
My local news did a product review segment on vacuums recently they said that the Eureka light weight model worked incredibly well for its price.
