Pet owners here? Need somewhere to board my dog.

Hi there!

My DF and I are going out of town for a few days at the end of March, and we need to find a kennel where we can board her on kind of a limited budget, BUT we still want to give her the best we can! She is about 45 pounds and she is a boarder collie mix, very sweet, we just got her from Wayside Waifs a few weeks ago (I know, I hate to leave her so early in our new relationship...but we have no other option... my parents will not take care of her because we are mad that we got a dog in the first place) Anyone know of a good kennel that will give her space to run around and maybe meet other dogs?

Thanks!

Re: Pet owners here? Need somewhere to board my dog.

  • The only place we have boarded our dog (twice) has been at the PetSmart Pet Hotel (119th ish and metcalf). Not sure how much "free time" out of their kennel they get but our dog doesn't seem to mind. She's a 2 yr old Golden Retriever and always comes home exhausted. She is also kennel trained and is used to that during the day. It runs us about $25 a night (you can drop them off anytime after 7am and then pick up is noon the next day or its an extra $14 till 6pm). There are also add-on things you can buy like extra treats, play time, etc. Hope this helps! Good luck!

  • We take our pets to Woofs Play and Stay off I-35 and shawnee msn parkway.  The place is super clean and well run.  I would highly recommend it.
