Irish Dinner Party!

I'm hosting an Irish dinner party next Saturday. Have any of you ever done that? Any ideas? I have a menu basically set - but i'm looking for decorating/entertaining ideas!

THANKS! and happy early st. patricks day ;)

Re: Irish Dinner Party!

  • I would play Irish music, and def have Guiness. The flag colors are green white and orange, so maybe you could expand on that. I am assuming you dont want "St Paddy's" type decorations....what about a little Celtic symbol to use for place cards or other displays:

Check out a local craft store too, I am sure they have little Welcome signs and wreaths that would help fill in some gaps...

  • I like decorating with daffodils.

I also try to get green shamrock lollipops from a local chocolate store and I use those as the place cards. I tie them with green ribbon.

  • There's an amazing Guiness chocolate cake recipe available on the internet.  I think it would be a great addition to your dinner party!
