Paralegal Question

Does a paralegal degree or certfication remain valid in La if obtained in another state or is it void due to napoleonic law that applies to Lawyers being specialized in La napoleonic law? TIA !

First, we don't call it "Napoleonic Law." It's a great combo of civil law and common law. A beauty of a thing.

Second, a paralegal degree is only worth what your potential boss thinks it is worth. Your degree program taught you the basics of the job - the research, the procedure, etc. If you are moving to LA from another state, you will have a hurdle regardless because of the difference between common law and civil law. You still have your paralegal certificate and any experience you bring with you.

    Good luck!
