My older sister has been dating a man for about two years. They live together, share bills, everything. He was laid off just after Christmas and my sister has been picking up his slack.

He was invited to New Orleans for Mardi Gras by one of his buddies. He told my mom this and she asked him if he'd found a job yet. He said he'd look when he got home.

Fast forward to today... my FB newsfeed pops up that he is engaged. To some girl who isn't my sister. They are in Florida. Not New Orleans.

I called Mom right away. While talking to her, her call waiting says my sister is calling. She is upset. Crying. Blubbering. Pissed off tears... and she's at work. She's going over to Mom and Dad's when she gets off work.

My sister has dealt with depression issues her whole life. This couldn't have come at a worse time. She just got back on her meds. She just back into counseling.

Her ex-husband sexually assaulted her and served time in federal prison for what he did to her. When he was released, she took him back. He cheated on her... repeatedly. She looked the other way until one of those ho-bags got knocked up. She finally divorced him.

In the meantime, she has dated a string of losers. This guy seemed nice enough. Boy did he have us fooled.

We are going over to their house tomorrow and moving all of her stuff out so that when he gets home on Monday, she's not there.

ugh... this really sucks.

Aww...I'm sorry your sister is going through this.  Some people are just awful, and they seem to find the "perfect" people to feed on.

Whoa, what an a$$hole.  There is a special place in hell for people like him.  Your sister is in my prayers.  This would be terrible for anyone, but I have to imagine that your sister's issues with depression will make this harder.  Someday she will find someone who deserves her.

Ew!  What a d!ck!!  I can't believe there are really people like that in this world.  I'm so sorry your sister is going through this.  The bright side is thank goodness she is now rid of that d-bag and can heal herself completely.  She'll meet someone who will appreciate her when the time is right.

Wow. She had to find out on facebook?!? Is he even coming back on Monday? Where did no job get a ring to propose with? Whose name is on the lease of the apartment? I'd be all moved out, his stuff in the trash, locks changed on the doors until I could get out of the lease. So sorry for your sister. She will meet the right man when she is healed and not looking.

That is horrible!  That has to be a hard hit especially when dealing with depression.  Thankfully it sounds like she has a very supportive family.
