Honestly? Playing PS3 until 4 am is not supposed to be your life anymore nor should you want it to be.

Ugh, video games.   We got rid of the Sega, or XBox or whatever he had a looooong time ago.   4 am is late!   How does he manage to stay up that late?   Hopefully he can find a happy medium....especially with little man 2 on the way. 

Now Joe has a cold, and yet was up with his friend drinking in the shed until at least 12:30.  I was just getting ready to call him (yup, I'm that wife) and tell him to come up and go to bed, when they came strolling through the door.  Now guess who is still in bed complaining about not feeling well.  Waaaaahhhhh!  I don't give a sh!t!

When I get home on Thursday afternoons after a long week of nursing school, I play my current PS3 game for HOURS (instead of cleaning or shopping).

My husband plays XBox 360 and has been into video games ever since I met him. As much as I hate the fact that he can sit here for hours and play obnoxious shooting games or car games (My house basically sounds like a war zone or race track most of the time), I'm also grateful that I know where he is at night. I know he's not out all hours of the night drinking and going to bars with his buddies all the time. If he wants to play video games in his free time, then that's fine with me, because I know he could be doing things much worse with his free time.  It's not any different then me spending half the day on The Nest, Facebook or surfing the internet. I just wish he'd buy some damn headphones for the video games. LOL Can't tell you how sick I am of hearing gunshots as I fall asleep at night.

Wait till baby #2 is born...he'll have a very rude awakening!!  MH was always helpful  w/ Jake but I knew his life would change drastically w/ #2, and boy has it!

Daniele, I hope I didn't offend you! Really, the gaming isn't the immature part. I was just really annoyed that another night he didn't come to bed and another morning I got up with the baby because he doesn't purposefully make it a point to get enough rest knowing we have a baby that wakes up early and a Mom that needs at least one friggin day that she doesn't get up before the sun. It just seems like he gets to unwind, and I never do. Sadly, I should just take it and I don't, so its part my fault too.

Vent over. Although, guess who just made lunch while the other is playing Call of Duty? I'll give you one guess.

You didn't offend me-- I just was thinking maybe I am really a gay man in a woman's body... 

Anyhow, I think you're totally right to have an issue with YH playing games instead of helping out around the house. And I hope you didn't give YH lunch! I would have made it for myself and told him he was SOL! You are way nicer than I am. Might I suggest you buy some video games for you and then monopolize the player a bit?

Ryan is horrible at going to bed too, and I know that after he does Felix's 11pm feeding he is up playing those games! I usually don't say anything, but today he slept in until almost noon and I have a feeling I know why..,
