and happy Daylight Savings Time!
How was everyone's weekend? Did the time change screw you up on your sleep or did you handle it okay? Anyone forget to reset their clocks?
This weekend was good. DH and I just relaxed and spent some quality time together at home. I made him cookies yesterday and I think he's already eaten about half of them. We slept too late yesterday and I don't think DH slept at all last night, so he's none to happy about going back to work today after his 2 weeks off.
Also, I am happy that I can finally work out at home outside today and not have to rush to beat the setting sun!
Re: Good Monday morning!
Good Morning!
I am very surprised that the time change didn't mess with me...usually it does. It did with DH though...He usually doesn't nap on the weekends, but yesterday he took about a two hour nap. He will probably complain about being too tired the rest of the week.
Our weekend was pretty good. We spent Saturday at the Rodeo (DH got me a new purse and matching wallet). There was this one vendor there selling these wine racks out of rocks. Too bad the one I wanted cost around $200. here is their website so you can check out their creative work: www.TheRockPlace.net
Sunday morning we went over to DH's cousin's house. He is a up and coming photographer and wanted to work on his portfolio of animals. He posted two pictures of my fur baby on Facebook. We then spent rest of the day cleaning(sort of), running errands, and being bums on the couch.
Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
Our weekend seemed too short, but it was good.
Friday night I ran a few errands then chilled at home. H got home earlier than expected, so that was nice to see him for a bit.
Saturday H had to work and I finished errands in the morning. In the afternoon, I had a bridal shower and then went shopping with MIL and SIL. H and I went to Olive Garden for dinner and used some gift cards we had.
Sunday we went to church and Sam's club. The H had to go back to work again and I chilled at home. We grilled for dinner, which was nice. Then H's BM came over for dessert.
I am ready for H to be home in the evenings again this week. I am so tired though today and it's really really quiet in my office. I have a feeling it's going to be a long day.
I hate Monday lol.
Our weekend was great. Saturday was our NYC day and while it was a long day (we left home at 6:30 and got home at 10:00), it was so much fun! We wandered around the city and had some yummy food! And of course did a little shopping. Sunday we went to the IL's and picked up the dog and went for lunch with them. We spent the rest of the day doing NOTHING!

April Nesties March siggy challenge: Next Vacation, Anguilla!!
Weekend was uneventful -- a good thing! I'm on bed rest day #6 and so far so good (well, we'll see what the doctor says tomorrow). DH had to work yesterday and stayed up too late on Saturday night because he forgot about DST, so he crashed out early last night. We worked on our baby registry, and also did some organizing around the apartment (DH organized, I directed traffic).
Tonight, DH is going to make corned beef and cabbage for dinner so we can have leftovers all week --- Slainte!

My weekend was all right. Friday night we had planned to go out to eat, but I went running first after work. I think I definately overdid it last week, because I was to about 1.5 miles, and I seriously couldn't go anymore. I was almost crying I was in so much pain. I literally couldn't even walk around the house because the shin splints had gotten so bad. So, I honestly went to lay down in bed at 7, and was asleep by about 7:30.
Saturday was a nothing day. We slept in til 10, then I went down and worked out (ellipticle & weights), but my calves started cramping up so bad I only made it about half way through of what I wanted to do. Ugh. So, I came home and watched a bunch of Grey's on Netflix. At like 5:30 Jeff and I finally decided we were hungry (I was starving because that this point I hadn't eaten since Friday noon), so we went and got supper at our favorite place, but the waitress was an I-DI-OT! Like, I ordered the fajitas with a combo of beef & chicken...she LITERALLY brought me two orders...one of beef, one of chicken. I couldn't believe it. Then we just went home, caught up on some Fringe (we are still on Season 2), then I was asleep by about 10:30.
Sunday, woke up, was starting to get ready for church...and yea, daylight savings time kicked our ass. It was 10 minutes til church started...so, we missed. We really weren't planning on doing anything yesterday, but a friend called and wanted to get Chinese then go to Hy-Vee. Now, Hy-Vee is about 45 minutes away from us, so we never go there...and now we are never going anywhere else! Between the produce and health foods options and how good their meat is, we are in love. So we got home, unloaded groceries, then went out to that friend's to grill our steaks we had bought. They were fantastic! Then home and to bed.
DST affected us a little more than we anticipated - it was a really full weekend so we were already exhausted. friday we didn't do much but hang out at home and refrain from spending any unnecessary money. saturday we went to a parade with my family then headed to a friends bridal shower. which was weird because i've never seen so many people smoke in front of an 8 month pregnant woman before in my life - but it's none of my business. then we headed home and tried to get to bed relatively early which didn't work at all because we weren't tired! sunday we had mass, i shot an engagement session in the freaking cold, we had a family dinner and then...ready...FLOGGING MOLLY!! it was siiiiick!!!
The weekend definitely went WAY too fast!
Friday I left work a little early, ran some errands, home to eat, walk dogs, work out, and made breakfast for Saturday morning.
Saturday we went to the flooring place to order our flooring for the bathroom, DH went to work, I took the dogs to the dog park, ran a few errands, stopped at a friends house, then home to do the normal stuff...eat, work out, sew, walk dogs, clean.
Sunday, we went to church, then running errands to find accessories for our bathroom. It's fun picking stuff out but it sucks to pay for it all! My parents stopped in the afternoon to visit. It was so nice to see them! Last night, we vegged out, watched some movies and ate popcorn!

UGH Monday but yay for daylight while I'm driving home!! I'm SO excited!!
This weekend was busy. Friday we went to the high school to help out I baby sat my little Gus OMG I can't express how cute and cuddly he is seriously. Saturday we worked at the high school on the set and I came to work to met with a Bar Mitzvah client. Then Saturday night I hung out. Sunday I had a bridal shower and that seems to have taken up most of my day. I'm bitter that its Monday but its also show week which is exciting!
Didn't do much this weekend. Friday night I went with DH to button racing (takes place of drag racing during the winter months). It was the last one of the year and was their "big money race". DH won 2 races and brought home over $200!!! We didn't get home until after midnight.
I finally had a Saturday off, or so I thought. At 7:30am I got a phone call from work asking if I could come in to help because one person didn't show and another called in sick so she only had 1 out of 3 people. At first, I was going to just stay home, but I went in anyway. After I got off work, DH and I did some errands. He installed some new parts on one of the toilets (it is supposed to use less water and therefore save money). If we like it we will probably install this on our other toilets too. I began working on organizing photos on the computer.
Sunday DH worked on his truck. We tried to take the dog to Paw Park but no one else was there. So DH needed to pick up a few car parts and we planned on going by Petsmart since we had the dog with us and of course they had just closed. So poor Haley didn't get to do any playing or shopping, but at least she got to go for a car ride, lol.
Today I am waiting to hear back from HR about setting up a job interview. There are 2 positions I am interested in. One is full time and one is part time (I'm really hoping & praying for the full time!). I just wish this lady would call me back! I missed her call on Friday and tried calling her back a million times that same day and she never answered. I left her a message and I still haven't heard anything back from her. I plan on calling her a little later today if I don't hear from her.
Oh and it is also SNOWING today!!! It was in the 60's on Saturday. In a couple days it is going to be in the 70's.
Happy Monday!
Sorry I'm a little late to the party (Morning morning at work - eh!), but yes, this weekend was actually nice! My Mom wasn't feeling well, so instead of us going shopping, H and I picked up a few things from the grocery store for her and visited for a while, which is always nice :-)
On Sunday, H drove me to PA to have lunch at one of my favorite spots...all because I woke up on Sunday for some reason with a taste for their food...he definitely got big points for that!
And, how wonderful that the weather is turning so spring like!!! Makes me happy - and no, for a change, the time didn't trip me up...I was in bed snoring away, so I didn't really notice :-)
Hope you all have fantastic weeks!!!
I hate daylight savings, especially "spring forward"!!
Friday DH and I relaxed and had dinner at home. DH had worked the night before and stayed up all day so he went to be pretty early, and I caught up on the DVR.
Saturday DH worked some overtime, so I cleaned a little around the house, and played outside with the dogs pretty much all day.
Sunday DH and I went to Home Depot and bought a whole bunch of miracle grow (on sale!) for the garden, I got some flowers for the front yard, and we bought a patio table and chairs which I was really excited about! And then we walked out of the store and it was raining...blah!
Today I didn't pick up a subbing job because I am exhausted and feeling an hour behind, and DH is off today so I thought I would get a little quality time in, but that means I have to get my butt in gear and work the rest of the week to make that $$!! (oh on a side note I got a raise and now I'm making $20 more a day to sub!!!!!)
