I just called my dr to set up my first OB appt and she is no longer doing OB care (she is a family dr) ...so I am a little freaked out and lost on what to do. The office suggested Penn Ave OB GYN. Has anybody every been there...are they natural birth friendly....and I really only want a female dr? Sorry for the rambling I am just upset I can't imagine any of the boys births without her. Any other suggestions on OB or midwife would be awesome.

Re: OB help
Thought about homebirth?
I've got an AMAZING midwife to recommend.
I have but DH would never be able to handle it....my actually words to him where 'home birth is sounding better and better'.
If he was nervous at all I wouldn't be able to do it.

If homebirth is out I would suggest Susan Hernandez with the Iowa Health Midwives. Of course, it's not guaranteed that she would deliver your next baby since their are 4 midwives in the practice.
Susan is very natural birth friendly and I just love her. I go to her for my annual and have visited her for several other issues. She was wonderful during my pregnancy too. She didn't deliver Neena but she stopped by our hosptial room the next day and visited with us for 2 hours, that meant a lot to me.
