There are several types out there like this
one and I love the concept. My oldest will be eating lunch a few days per
week at school next year and I would love to save on plastic bags. The
one thing about this one is it can't hold wet foods (applesauce,
yogurt) w/o a separate container. This may be the case with
all of these type boxes though.
Anyone use a box like this? Have recommendations on another brand? TIA!
My beautiful girls: Hadley 9.28.06, Emmerson 11.29.08 and Pilar 2.07.11, born premature at 33.3 weeks.

Re: Moms- lunch boxes
Well, I have had lunch boxes like that one, and the problem that I found was they not very big, and can't properly hold a sandwhich, and the lids would pop open and a mess all over the place(and I wasn't making huge sandwhichs for the 3 and 4 year old either). So I switched over using the PB Kids square lunch box, a thermos and cold container from Thermos(called funtainers), and there are reusable sandwhich wrappers(you can find those online). And I use snack sized bags, and wash and reuse them until they need to get dumped. Sorry!
Give it a shot, but I just think those types of lunch boxes never work out, even the idea and look is awesome. Also, some of them tend to be very hard to open for the kids, so order one, and have your child try opening it a few times at home before you actually start using it. GL!
I pack a laptop lunch for DD5 every day for Kindergarten. It is the perfect size for her lunch and afternoon snack.
I use Laptop Lunches for my husband, myself and our 2 year old son. Although it seems small, it really does hold a lot of food. It comes with 2 leak proof containers for wet items. The other 2 containers use the outside box as their lid, which makes it easy to get to those items. Their website is a great tool. You should check out their photo gallery to get a better idea of what you can do with these bento boxes: http://www.laptoplunches.com/photo-gallery.php.
I have a Yubo lunchbox and I like it. I use the containers it comes with, and my own, and it's great. I like that I can easily clean it, unlike the soft cooler type material.

Celadon Road has some great stuff. They are an eco-friendly, member of the organic trade association, etc.
Anyway, they have waste-free lunch kits, food-grade stainless steel water bottles...etc. Great stuff.
