Dress me

I'm going to a wedding here Friday night.  The ceremony will be outdoors.  I know dinner is inside, but I'm not sure if the dancing/reception will be in or out.  I bought this dress a few months ago and haven't worn it yet.  Mine is black.  It's not this tight/short on me.  It comes almost to my knee cap.  I have black knee high boots I planned to wear with it, but I'm thinking too much black for a wedding maybe?  I also have some pumps I could wear that are black and silver for some "color."  My nice jackets are also black or mostly black.  What do you think?

Re: Dress me

  • I would be hot with long sleeves and a turtleneck. I would want to wear something with layers so I could be comfortable whether it's warm or chilly. I think that dress may be more casual than I would go for a wedding also.

  • I agree with brittjoy.  I don't think I'd wear that dress to a March wedding at that location.
  • Ditto PPs.  Sorry.
  • Gotcha, ya know, I really didn't even think about it being too casual.  haha  I was just thinking of being warm since the ceremony isn't until 8:00.  Thanks, I have an alternate outfit that I think will be more wedding-appropriate.
