Anxious....

... I have my three-hour glucose test tomorrow morning. And I am FREAKING out. I thought the one-hour would be bad, but it was okay. My issue is that if I don't eat every few hours I get nauseous and light-headed (which probably means I will have the GD). But I am so... scared I guess.

Help!!

awww, good luck.  I had to do the 3 hour with my last pregnancy, and it was not as bad as I thought.  Just make sure you take a snack with you to have right after your last blood draw!  GOOD LUCK!!!!
  • Um... I got nauseous all the time, especially if I didn't eat frequently. I passed the 3 hour. Make sure you bring something to keep your mind occupied during the three hours, and something to eat immediately afterward!

  • The 3 hour test wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  I brought a book and the time went pretty quickly.  I ended up having GD which ended up not being that bad either.  Looking back at it now, i thought the 2 hour test I took 6 weeks postpartum was worse than the 3 hour.  I think it was because with the 3 hour test I was getting blood taken every hour so reading a book helped.  With the 2 hour test it was a blood draw and then a 2 hour wait.  The 2 hours dragged.  Good luck tomorrow.

  • Good luck today! :)

I think all pregnant women get like that if they don't eat often enough - at least I did, and I passed my 1 hour.

  • My friend had to take teh 3 hour recently, first was extremely high and she was so nervous.  She was ended up ok when took the 3 hr... i hope the same for you too!  She also said it wasn't as bad as she thought and went out for a nice lunch afterwards.  GL!!!
  • UPDATE: I just checked in with Lindsay and her last blood draw is in 10 minutes.  She's doing okay, just has a growling belly.  She brought a Fiber One bar to munch on after, and Dunks is right up the street!!

Here's hoping for low numbers pretty girl!
