Hi!  I'm not sure if you have found childcare yet but we went to a place recommended by our neighbor and really liked it.  We are completing the application and reserving a spot.  It is called Victory Learning Center and is part of a church on Lebanon Road.  It is very convenient to downtown, on Lebanon Road between Fesslers and Spence Lane.  It is kinda a weird area (I had never been over there before) but easy to get to and I went at 5 and traffic wasn't too bad.  They are a new facility so they do not have a track record or rating right now.  We just really liked their facility, the lady who started the program and the teachers that we met.  They all seem very passionate about the children and making their center a great place.  Let me know if you have any questions.  I know that this issue can be so stressful for expecting moms.  I had no idea that Nashville childcare was so hard to find and could be so expensive.  Oh and their rates are $866/month for infants.  I'm not sure if they offer a discount for siblings or not.  Good luck!

  • Oh my gosh - thank you *so much* for thinking of me and for the recommendation!  We haven't really gotten anywhere with this (and, to be honest, have shelved it this past week or two), but need to get going again and will definitely check this out.

I *think* Victory was actually recommended to me by the director of McKendree (I was soooo upset about not being able to get on their list I begged her for suggestions about elsewhere!), but it sounded too inconveniently located. . .. guess not, huh?!    Great news!

I love that its part of a church and easy to get to . . . . Do you remember what their waiting list looked like?

  • The children's minister (who started the program) actually said that she visited several places and McKendree was one of the few that she would recommend so I would not be surprised if they recommended it to you.  It really isn't nearly as inconvenient as I thought it would be.  You can easily get to it either by the interstate or just going straight through downtown.

Their waiting list was very minimal because they are new.  We would be 2nd on there behind one other family with a baby starting in June (we would be starting in July).  If you google it you can find their website, click on Child Care and it will give you lots of information.  Beth is the person we met with her started the program.  She is great!  You can email her and set up a time to check it out.  Good luck!
