Crayola colored bubbles. I thought they would be fun because Ben loves bubbles, but they are messy and don't make good bubbles. They seem nice in theory, but the orange looks like diluted blood. He holds the wand close to his face to blow and he got it all over, it ran down his arms etc and the bottle is leaky. Gross!
Re: Do not buy
Yuck!
I've heard Gymboree makes good bubbles. I bought a bottle a couple months ago but we haven't tried it yet because it's been too cold (for me!) to go outside yet. Soon...
They do! I got a free bottle when I signed up for Gymboree Play & Learn. Lily loves them - you can makes loads of little bubbles that go everywhere or one big bubble that stays on the end of the wand - Lily likes to pop the big bubble.
Thanks for the warning!! They sound like the kind of thing I'd impulse-buy at Target.
Gymboree bubbles ARE the best bubbles! They make a ton of bubbles and they last a long time. They sure ain't cheap, but totally worth it. Fair warning, though: take to heart the instructions on the bottle to wipe them off wood and fabric right away. We blew a bunch on our indoor porch last summer and when I came out the next day, they were still clinging to the screen. I can imagine that if they stayed on your furniture for a long time like that, they'd leave a mark.
