Have any of you read this?

I started it last night and so far it's a total snoozefest. Granted I'm only about 100 pages into the 644 page monster...

Tell me it gets better?

Oh, it does.  It takes about half-way for things to really pick up, but the ending is amazing.  I loved it.  If you can stick with it, it's totally worth it.

It took me at least 100+ pages to get into the 1st book. It did get a lot better, I promise.

Then, I really loved the 2nd book and hated the 3rd book. I was so bored with the 3rd book I started skipping pages.

It gets better than that, but I wouldn't call it good.  I got all 3 for my bday so I felt compelled to read them, but I wish I would've stopped.

ok, I'll stick with it!

I got all 3 books for like 9 bucks, and they've been taunting me from my bookshelf. I decided it was time!

this, exactly.  I loved the 2nd book and started the 3rd right after.  The 3rd drags the worst of all of them.

I think all three have boring bits -- where they go on long diatribes about geography, or math, or finances, etc. But the actual plot line was really good in all three books, in my opinion.

I had to start it twice to get through it, but once you get far enough in, it's really good.

oh sad, I just finished the 2nd yesterday and have been very eager to get the 3rd (which I won't until next week, I'm borrowing them all from my dad).

It totally gets better... I had to keep going back to the chart at the front of the book to keep the family members straight, but after the beginning slow part, I burned right through.  Mark even read it then and really liked.  The 2nd one was really slow in the beginning too, but that one went even faster than the first one.  Totally worth it!!!
