as much as i hate being unemployed/job hunting, i do not miss seeing condescending e-mails like this in my inbox. the fact that she's still employed after all the sh!t she has put my old department through still boggles my mind.
A, S & R:
FYI--I am still working on making sure the meeting runs quickly and stays focused. That
said, I expect for all of us to model the behavior and set the tone for
the meeting--whether others choose to follow it or not.
That
said, please come to the meeting having already gone to the bathroom,
and with all the things you need (including snacks, etc.) I will continue to limit the number of items on the agenda, and do all I can to keep everyone on task.
But please make every effort not to have a reason to move in and out of the meeting--frankly, it's really distracting.
Thanks in advance for your help in this.
See you all tomorrow,

Re: for your entertainment: tf's e-mail
Wow! I don't even know what to say. It sounds like she is talking to little children. "Please go to the bathroom first". Unbelievable! And this - "frankly, it's really distracting." I would flip out if I received that!!!
Exactly. Show some respect, and maybe you'll get some in return!
For example, my manager sent an email out to our department about employee working hours. It was such an insult and a joke. I felt like a kid being reprimanded for being late to school!
oh, she sent e-mails like that too. the receptionist writes down what time everyone arrives/leaves and turns it in to the CEO/president daily. how childish is that?! and i am all for being on time to work but being reprimanded like a five year old is not an effective way to treat your employees.
and "FYI" on the meeting tf is referring to *should* be a productive 30-40 minute meeting but because she has a Ph.D. in wasting time, it turns into two hours! i used to go to that meeting with water, gum, and a snack because OF COURSE i may be thirsty or need to use the bathroom over the course of two hours!
well, she brought and often answered her cell phone during meetings so she might have been smart enough to know that would be too hypocritical even for her!
