Sorry, ladies. By the way, you can tell me to STFU and get a life. In case you missed my intro post, I'm moving to Providence, well, in FIVE days. *sounds trumpets*
Anyways, if I haven't harassed you guys enough asking for recommendations....
Good photographer for baby/toddler pictures in/ around Providence?
Gym for a non-gym-rat type who is a little overweight (but no stranger to the gym, I lost about 80 lbs last year... I just don't like intimidating size 2 supermodels bouncing by while I sweat it out)?
I would have asked about cake, but I got my answer below (thanks for the FB link to the resident cake lady!)
Any kids' activities? My daughters are turning 3 and 2 in July and September and I found some gymnastics classes and I guess the Rhode Island Philharmonic has some music type classes. What are your children in? Where do you guys like to go during the weekdays (or weekends if you work, of course! I just mean something casual and easy)
Alright. Shutting up now. I probably sound like I'm on something.

Re: Another Recommendations Post....
My son is 3, and my daughter is 1. My husband (right now he's a SAHD) takes them to story time at Cranston and Warwick Public Library.
Barnes & Nobles also has a story time (Tues and Thurs mornings, I think) which includes a craft.
He takes them to the Providence Children's Museum at least a few times a month (I would recommend a membership there if you plan to go somewhat often).
We also have a zoo membership when the weather is nice (www.rwpzoo.org).
DS has taken classes at Teamworks in Warwick; he had a blast at those.
Now that we are members at the YMCA, he is taking a soccer class there.
Good luck with your move!!!

My DD is still a little young, but we will visit the zoo a lot this spring and summer. Their are also a few playgrounds and a carousel there

Any kids' activities?
DS is in the baby music class at the Music School. He's only 12 months old though.
What town are you moving to? That will help me add more.
Another rave for Amy Ro photography! And not just because she's on the board- because she's awesome.
I live in Providence, too, so a lot of my reccs will be close for you.
Gym- I hate the gym but I used to go to Boston Sports Club east side location. They have a ton of nice classes and sweet machines with TVs at each one. They also have babysitting.
Kids activities-
We take two music classes Rock-A-Baby (rock-a-baby.netI) and Music together (eastsidemusictogether.com) and love them. They both have a ton of scheduling options and registration for the spring session is just about to start.
We also love story time at the Rochambeau library and Books on the Square.
Other people mentioned the zoo and the childrens museum which is also great.
Check out kidoinfo.com for local kids activities- they have a daily calendar which is awesome!
Welcome to RI!
