Throw out some ideas for a truck themed b-day party

I'm making a choc. cake and putting it in a new toy dump truck

making truck shaped sandwiches for the kids

having a small sand table with construction trucks for the kids to play with

all suggestions welcomed!

Could you get someone with a big truck to drive to your house and give the birthday kiddo a ride around the block?

 How about a dump truck dumping a pile of candy on the table.  (I guess that's pretty similiar to your cake idea though...)

Borrow two truck ride on toys and have races in the backyard.

Rent a monster truck themed bounce house. 

 Get fireman hats and/or construction hats as party favors.

Pick up contact paper with brick and wood themes. Use the contact paper to wrap empty cereal and cracker boxes for bricks.   BJ's and Sam's clubs generally have empty boxes available for free for customers for larger bricks.  Set up an open area (backyard??) where the kids can make forts and garages for their trucks.

We did one for DS's 3rd birthday. We didn't do any games as he's the oldest of his friends and at 3 there isn't much they'll do...   Favors were a matchbox truck and a few little things in construction bags.  I put construction cones up the walk and had a huge sign on the door.  Here is the cake I made:

dump cake...

can you find different brand trucks...like the Frito truck and serve it by the fritos...you may be able to do this by printing the logos onto labels, and putting them on other trucks...you could do perdue and serve chicken nuggets, chiquita and have something with a bananas in it

The party hats are my fave and the centerpiece makes the "beep...beep...beep" noise like it's backing up.  SO cute!

For favors I gave all the kids orange street cones that were drinking cups and had a dump truck filled with cookies  also found paper road construction signs and yellow construction zone tape.  Also ordered the kids yellow construction hats to wear and put a number 3 on the birthday boys hat I happened to luck out and there was a construction vest at Michael's but this was last year perfect for birthday photos which I took in yellow tonka plush chair that I just happened to have bought when he was younger.
