...her story made me think of the last time I was at PriceRite in Woonsocket. Lord, I hate that darn store. But their produce is cheap and I was making a veggie platter for a special order for Vino's. Anyway. I went to the express 12 items or less line and there was a women there with way more than 12 items, not a whole carriage full put maybe 20-22 items, that stuff doesn't bother me at all, so I just stood behind her. Well this little old miserable man came up behind me with two items and cuts me and says to the women in front of me, "You have more than 12 items, I'm going in front of you". Come to find out, she had two orders because she was shopping for herself and her elderly mother who was standing on the other side of the register. I was so mad. I said "Hey Grumpy!! What about me, I only have 6 items!" Then he flipped me off!!! Oh man, it took me everything I had to "respect my elders"..... I wanted to run him over with my car!!

Wait, do you work/own Vino's? I think my old manager works there (unless it's Vintage that he works at-I get confused). Gerry??

Yes, my husband owns it. (For some reason, I feel silly saying I own it). Gerry used to work for us. He actually works at Lindy's now. He was a nice man. I assume you worked at Box Seats?

good for you for speaking up! my old neighborhood in queens was full of cantankerous seniors! i had an old crone call me a "fvcking idiot" simply because i walked by her briskly and some grumpy old man at the pharmacy thought he could cut to the front of the line because the woman in front of me didn't speak english. it made me very grateful that my grandparents weren't/aren't like that.

Haha! Yes, I worked at Box Seats (all of them when they were owned by Peter) for many years. 

I've heard good things about your place. One of these days I need to go there

P.P.S. Yes. he is a nice man, BUT totally used to make inappropriate comments to the girls.
