As some of you may know, DH and I are building a house. It has been an absolute nightmare from day one. After all the bank issues, the house was finally delivered in October. Well here we are in March and we are still not in it yet. The Board of Health for the last 5 months has gone back and forth with the engineers and will not approve our septic system yet. We've had to change the property line 3 times. This whole ordeal is holding up EVERYTHING else. We cannot finish the inside because it is too cold. We can't set up the heat without water and we can't get water without drilling the well, but we can't drill the well without a permit and we can't get a permit with approval of the septic UGH!

Then not to mention, 2 weeks ago I received a letter from a lawyer saying a lien was put on our property because our contractor never paid the concrete company even though we paid the contractor. Luckily that has been taken care of, but it's just so much stress.

This has just been so frustrating to pay a mortgage on a house we can't live in. There is still so much to do and all is at a standstill. We are now having a meeting at the board of health with all engineers tomorrow and I am praying that we can come to a resolution and get this septic approved.

Any vibes you can send our way for a good meeting tomorrow would be great!!! We are almost at our breaking point.

oh gosh that sounds like a boatload of stress. sorry you have to deal with all of that junk!

Good luck!! I don't blame you for being at your breaking point - that's so frustrating. Hopefully the meeting tomorrow will resolve the issues and everyone can get back to work on getting your house finished!

Ugh - that is so incredibly annoying! Hopefully you'll be able to get everything straightened out and taken care of soon and moved in and settled. Just remember that in the long run it will all work out and be worth it!!
