Want to cry your eyes out?

Look at this video. It's about a dog in the aftermath of the Japanese earthquake/tsunami protecting another dog. Too sad and cute all at the same time.

  • Crying

Poor Layla was sleeping in her crate and I just took her out and hugged her tightly and still cried. It's so sad knowing those puppies don't have homes anymore :(

  • I know what you mean. It made me mad when I heard during Katrina that they wouldn't let people stranded on their rooftops take their animals with them when they were airlifting. I know about space constraints and such, but I think if my choice was to abandon my dogs on our roof or be rescued I think I would just tell the helicopter pilot on his next swing around to drop me a cheeseburger, because I couldn't leave my animals.

ETA: about the video...I am really glad that those dogs did get rescued and are receiving vet care. That made the emotional impact a little less scarring.
