Re: Great Article

  • i consider myself both since i work in the office monday, wednesday & friday and from home tuesday & thursday.  tuesdays and thursdays are so crazy that i pretty much get no work done.

i enjoy work so i don't dread going.   i am also lucky enough to take her to work with me 1 week a month.  of course i miss z but i know that she has much more fun being with my parents those days since they do exciting things that i wouldn't necessarily take her to.  we have our own activities and they have theirs.

as much as it's exhausting being a working mom, i'm much more exhausted by the end of the day on the days i am home.

i joke around at work that being there is easy and much more relaxing.  at home i have a lot more responsibilities and deadlines.  and i'm lucky enough to have a husband that helps cook, clean, do laundry, and help with z.

the debate is ridiculous. there isn't a right or wrong. it's a personal decision and what works for one doesn't always work for the other.

I find this to be so true. The days I am off with Xander and the weekends I am exhausted. He goes a 100% all the time and he keeps me on my toes when we are together. I won't lie, some days I look forward to an 8.5 hour work day to get some down time in away from Xander.

  • I didn't read the article but I agree this debate is as ridiculous and drives me crazy like the FF vs BF one. Both are personal decisions. I agree with Crows, for the first few weeks back to work and even still most of the time, work feels like a vacation compared to being at home! Although really, I'm exhausted both places (at work for 9.5 hours, commute 2 hours total) so they're both hard to do.

  • The cons of being a SAHM list made me snort, DH asked me what was so funny. The part about stabbing your partner for wondering what you did all day and finding jail a great break from mommyhood struck me as hilarious. Luckily DH is the one who watches Riley the 2 days I work so he understands. Otherwise he totally would have been the whiny "I worked hard all day while you got to stay home" husband.

  • I didn't really read it as a debate(which I know it is),but I just found the stuff they had for each hilarious.
