DH decided SAH is not all it's cracked up to be

Last night, DH exhaustedly plopped into the LazyBoy and stated "I don't know how you do this everyday!"

He's been home since Judah arrived and has been taking all most 100% care of Leo, minus a few diaper changes, naps and snuggles from me.  He's also been doing the majority of the housework (around 65% of what I do daily) and cooking. :)  Thank God for freezer meals (we made 30 entrees).

But last night, after not feeling too well, and Leo not feeling well, he realized that it's definitely a lot more work being a SAHM than he thought it would be.  He thought for sure this would be an amazing vacation for him.  HA!

I felt a little bad for his tired self, but honestly, I do this everyday and it really isn't THAT big of a deal.  He said he misses his job because it's a whole lot easier than what I do every day!  ahhahaaa.  I love my DH!! He cracks me up! :)

  • I can't wait for the day Jeff has to stay home with G for a few days in a row-they don't realize it's all playtime and naps! :-) At least you haven't killed him yet ;-)

Btw-LOVE the new picture of Judah! And Leo too, I miss him!

We miss you so much!!!  I've been so tempted to attend the parade tomorrow, just so we can see you and G!

Jeff will totally have a new found love and respect once he's a SAHD for a few days.  I'm sure Kevi thought it was all naps and snuggles....ahhahaa.  He knows better now. :)

  • I kind of feel for them because I think we, as SAHM's, have our groove on. Ya know? We have our daily schedule and we know what to expect from the kids at different parts of the day. They have no clue. It's like driving a new car. It takes time to get used to it. Then you're fine. Nice for you to have a little bit of respect from him for it though. That's worth it.  :)  I think that will be my DH after he's left alone with my poor girls for 5 days without anyone to help.

  • My DH said the same when I had my c-section with Carly and when I lost Quincy. I heard  alot of "I don't know how you do it."  My parents said the same when they came out right after my surgery.

It kind of gave me an ego-boost.  LOL
