This AM on the radio...& a QOTD for us!
It made me think, and because I'm such a geek, LOL I called in. They were asking if you have tried to teach your H or SO something or visa versa. LOL
XYIENCE energy drink at 6:30 AM will make me do crazy things. But I got threw. I told them about how my H and I can't work out anymore. He's tried to teach me how to do these 'moves' that do NOT jive well for me. And it ALWAYS ended up with me crying and him VERY frustrated.
SO Has your H/SO tried to teach you something? Or have you tried to teach your H/SO something that just did NOT go over well?
Re: This AM on the radio...& a QOTD for us!
H is really into WWE so he tries to teach me about all the characters and storylines. I don't care one bit, but it's important to him so I try. I know I've picked up quite a bit because the magazines have quizzes and I manage to squeak by with a D- most of the time! lol
He's also tried to teach me how not to kill myself in Mariokart. It doesn't work so well.
I don't have any skills/hobbies to teach him.
Yes... he tried to teach me to wakeboard for years when we were dating. I was terrible, but after about two years of trying I finally got it. He went out and bought me my very own life jacket and the next week he proposed.
)
(really probably not connected at all, I just like to say that!)
DH tries to teach me how to dance (like "real" dancing) whenever we're at weddings. I don't like being the student in public, so I usually blow it off and that frustrates him. I have more fun dancing crazy with the ladies, and he has more fun hanging out at the bar with the guys, so it's all good.
Once I tried to teach him how to sweep the floor, but apparently he forgot.
ha!
I teach DH all about my birth junkie stuff, and he is a very good student - I even catch him telling other people how awesome he thinks homebirth, breastfeeding, cosleeping, etc. is.
He used to teach me MMA stuff. I can rear-naked-choke like a pro!
I tried to teach DH to cook when we were dating. About the time we bought our house he decided it was no longer necessary.
He also has no knowledge of over the counter drugs whatsoever. He calls all pain relievers 'aspirin'. Try getting him to alternate acetaminophen and ibuprofen for a sick 2yr old while you're at work. Waaaaaaaay too confusing for him. I finally got acetaminophen in the tablets, so I tell him 'tablet after naptime and liquid before bed'.
